5-DAY WALKING HOLIDAY

Day 1

- Arrival and welcome to Shacklabank with cream tea and homemade cakes
- Early evening walk around the farm,   meeting the animals

- Informal assessment of group interests and fitness

- Supper in farmhouse or garden

Day 2

- Breakfast in farmhouse or garden
- Linear walk to discover Dent and its  hidden dale including picnic lunch
- Return to Shacklabank for tea or coffee, cake, scones etc
- In good weather, trip to River Lune to swim in her crystal waters
- Evening meal and optional farm activity

Day 3

- Breakfast then wander up Wild Boar Fell / Mallerstang Edge
- Picnic lunch at Pendragon Castle

- Return to Shacklabank for cream tea

- Supper



Day 4

- Breakfast followed by free morning to explore Sedbergh Book Town
- Linear walk of the Howgills with picnic lunch at Winder
- Bram Rigg, The Calf, Cautley Cragg
- Arrive at Cross Keys with tea and biscuits
 - Evening meal at Cross Keys Temperance Inn
 - Possible evening swim or farm activity

Day 5

- Breakfast then option of morning walk to ‘The Clouds’ including picnic lunch
- Tea time and fond farewells
