This page is supposed to be dedicated to technical talk of grades (height in metres and feet, time and distance, high, low, slow, fast etc) to assess your general fitness level and to allow me to asess whether you are fit or not (or as we say up here a 'Lish un' or a 'Ligger').

It is, and always will be, a very difficult one as we often over and underestimate our general fitness but there is a need to have a fairly good idea. The more accurate you gauge it, the better I can tailor-make your holiday.

All my walks are led at a gentle but steady pace. I believe most people with good health and a good general fitness, taking regular gentle exercise, would enjoy all of my walks.

All walks can be lengthened, shortened, heightened, lowered, made easier or more of a challenge simply by adding or taking away distance and/or height.
It all depends on your needs and wants. Any concern can be discussed with me at any time and all walks will be mulled over by the group the night before. I will, of course, discuss routes and distances with you before your holiday.

Our main concern is that you are comfortable within the group and that you get the most from your holiday with us.
